Acura MDX Horsepower
The MDX comes with 290 horsepower on the standard model. If you choose the standard MDX, Technology, A-Spec®, or Advance trims of the MDX, it’ll use a V-6 3.5L powertrain. Those MDX trim levels will produce 290hp and 267 lb-ft of torque to energize any ride you take. However, the Type S Advance and standard Type S trim levels use a 3.0L V-6 6-Cylinder engine to produce 355 HP. Either engine will deliver efficient performance and endless fun any time you’re ready.
What is the MDX Top Speed?
The MDX has a top speed of 112 miles per hour, based on the model you configure. The list of MDX trims that use the V-6 3.5-liter base engine will top out at 112 mph and provide quick access to excitement when driving. The optional Turbocharged 3.0L powerplant lists a top speed of 111 miles per hour, and it’s reserved just for the Type S trims. Obviously, you have to obey local traffic regulations when you’re on the road, so there’s no reason to hit the max speed at the wheel.
0-60 Time of the Acura MDX
The Acura MDX accelerates from 0-60 miles per hour in only 5.5 seconds using the MDX Type S models. Those trim levels push the 3.0-liter Turbo powertrain to the max, and you can reach 60 miles per hour with just a couple of more ticks. The base Acura MDX takes 6.4 seconds to reach 60 mph, but you won’t notice the one-second change with the 3.5-liter powerplant under the hood. The pair of engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission that makes shifting through the gears super fun.
