Performance Highlights
The entirely re-engineered Acura TLX 2021 shatters the performance assumptions of the Acura Sports Sedan. Standard power is provided by a 2.0L direct-injected and turbocharged 4cyl. engine with VTEC. This powerful engine produces 272hp and 280 lb-ft of torque and will be mated to a 10-speed automatic. The long-awaited Acura TLX Type-S will get its power from a brand new 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine. The horsepower and torque numbers are to be announced at a later date, but consider this: the exact same engineers that developed the engine for the current NSX are the ones leading this project. You can expect significant gains in peak horsepower and torque. The TLX Type-S will likewise get a 10-speed auto, yet it will be distinctively tuned to provide sporty and responsive characteristics.

Every 2021 TLX will include the AcuraWatch ™ collection of driver-assist and safety technologies. This impressive suite now provides new features like Traffic Sign Recognition, Driver Awareness Monitor, and Traffic Jam Assist. Traffic Jam Assist pairs with the Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow by keeping the 2021 Acura TLX in its lane and at a predetermined interval behind an automobile detected ahead. Another excellent technology enhancement is the first-ever application of the Acura three-chamber front airbag.This new style functions like a baseball catcher’s glove to better cradle the front seat occupant’s head in an accident.
