Features & Specs: 2020 Acura MDX vs 2020 Acura RDX

2020 acura mdx vs 2020 acura rdx specs features trims

The 2020 Acura MDX and RDX are fairly popular in the semi-luxury Sport Utility Vehicle segment. Spacious cabin, Acura’s safety technology, and flawless performance are highlights of both of these Acura SUVs. In 2020, both cars have some new features to share. While Acura crossovers are different from the majority of high-end SUVs, the middle ground serves the automaker really well. Both MDX and RDX are not full-on high-end, yet provide a luxury look and a range of sporty features.

The A-Spec package, Acura’s one-of-a-kind appearance upgrade, is offered for both the MDX and RDX. With this upgrade, both crossovers will have unique interior enhancements, upgraded seating, Napa leather surfaces and some exterior changes. The front sport seats in both SUVs have lumbar support with a contouring feel. Adjustable options make the seats comfortable even while on long drives. Both the MDX and RDX feature JewelEye headlamps, stylish alloy wheels, and moonroofs. Both SUVs provide a range of external paint choices to choose from. Inside, there is plenty of head and leg space; nonetheless, the MDX is more sizable in comparison to the RDX with an extra 3rd row seating. The MDX has huge door openings and a generous rear seat room, suitable for kids. While both automobiles are perfect household haulers, the MDX gets an additional point for its spacious cabin, big door openings and the 3rd row.

Performance Highlights

Both Acuras are impressive in their own way. Each of these crossovers are performance-oriented automobiles and feature precision crafted engines. The RDX, with its mighty 2.0-liter VTEC makes 272 horsepower. For a little SUV, the RDX is strong and quick to accelerate. The MDX includes V-6 and produces strong acceleration, it is able to reach from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 6 seconds. Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive is standard in both Acura crossovers. Performance-wise, both the MDX and RDX are smooth and responsive when traveling, and with SHAWD they have confidence and stability.

Each of these crossovers have Acura’s innovative infotainment system. While the MDX makes use of 2 displays to satisfy your entertainment needs, the RDX makes use of a single widescreen unit. The touchpad-like user interface makes everything simple to browse. Whether it is the NAV map or the Apple CarPlay info, both of these Acura crossovers offer you easy access with the touchscreen infotainment system. Both automobiles come with the AcuraWatch safety system, which has a selection of automated driver-assist technologies. Features such as a crash mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control, crash alert, and lane keep assist system are a few of the best driver assist features in both MDX and the RDX.

I don’t normally write reviews, but sometimes they are necessary! Let me just start by saying that Mr. Darrel Babineaux is the BEST and MOST ATTENTIVE car salesman I have ever encountered. I am new to the Acura family and was a little hesitant on making a firm decision. Originally, I was only coming to look, but ended up buying a new 2021 Acura RDX. I came on the car lot within an hour of closing, undecided on the trim I wanted. Mr. Babineaux offered some perspectives to help distinguish my preferable taste, without making me feel pressured into deciding ...

I would like to inform you all that the sales rep., Mr. Darell Babineaux is great to work with if you wish to buy a new Acura. He was attentive, honest and cordial. He also works well with the dealership's general manager, Mr. Wil Paz. Both were outstanding. Together, they worked to find the car that I sought.
